Index Contact 90's Concepts

Circa 1995-1997, Various vehicle concepts designed and rendered in MicroStation. Although developed from the mechanical and electrical functionality in mind, they were not realized. Since I've been asked, the electric bike with wide wheels is actually steerable and incorporates computer controlled, electric steering and leaning mechanisms offsetting center of mass relative to the road contact areas and speed. Such ideas were not commonly examined before the introduction of the Segway system and recent advances in self ballancing vehicles or robots. Current ways of increasing road contact area in leaning bikes incorporate more practical quad (or double) wheel designs. As for personal flying contraptions, we are entering the age of big data and high processing capabilities that make infrastructure for controlled small aircraft traffic possible.
